Navigating the digital maze can be difficult. TIC has a digital presence in a number of forums, so we have created an easy to follow guide about what these are and how they fit together.

A podcast is a series of digital media files, usually either digital audio or video, that is made available for download via web syndication. YouTube is a video sharing website on which users can upload and share video clips. 

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length which are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers)... 

A blog is a web site, where you write things on an ongoing basis. New things show up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you.

A website is a collection of related web pages, images, videos or other digital assets that are hosted on one web server, accessible via the Internet.

Each tool appeals to a different audience for a different purpose and as such the tone, style, and content must differ. Some tools will direct users to the website and other vice versa.  Some such as Facebook and Twitter will have a more passive connection to the main website.
