As you can see from the graph above, the high interest rates caused the dip in the supply, then when the interest rates fell the supply rose.

Stats show we are building fewer dwellings now than 25 years ago.
Dwelling Units Approved - VIC
Only Victoria has current supply about the same as 2003.
Dwelling Units Approved - QLD
Bad supply stats for Queensland.
New Residential Building Approved
Supply is less than 2003 but values much higher because of poor supply.
