Here are following excerpts from recent TIC newsletters that were quoted from actual recipients of our donations:
Sue Todd wrote: I am currently writing to Joyce, she is the youngest child in a family of nine. Joyce is an eight year old girl in grade 4 in the Philippines. The PMC has been sponsoring her for two years and our contribution has made a difference in this little girl’s life. She is always happy in her letters and is always thanking us for the support she receives from her sponsor.
On page 16 of The Investors Club newsletter a challenge was issued to members to raise $100,000 and it would be matched by Club Cares. These funds were to go to the Paraplegic Benefit Fund. Most donors who responded remained anonymous, and in addition to this donation a matching donation was made to Women’s Breast Cancer Fund of $95,000.
A recent TIC newsletter ran an article about 54 year old Tony South, a paraplegic (resulting from a gunshot wound as a child) – who currently works for the paraplegic Benefits Fund. With Tony's involvement with The Investors Club, Club Cares personally delivered $100,000K to this fund.
In a letter received from Jane Oyugi who is the Public Relations Officer for Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy she not only thanked The Investors Club for their donation of $500 but she also including a photo of a “Golden Tile” which has been mounted on the wall in the animal orphanage that those funds went to. You can see a list of all donors by visiting their website at www.animlaophanagekenya.org/members and selecting the conservation page. The Investors Club is listed under “Gold Sponsors”.
Another excerpt from The Investors Club newsletter Tony (South) told us about a gentleman who lost the use of his arms and his legs (a writer)…..if you would like to help others in combining to donate half of the funds needed ($47,000) Club Cares will match it. |
