Seven years ago my husband Greg and I came across The Investors Club. We had a grand sum of $2,000 in savings. After attending a worksh op we were sold on The Investors Club plan of building a property portfolio for wealth gain, independence and early retirement, so we were excited and keen to get started. Armed with the knowledge we received through the Club workshops and the huge amount of assistance from our Support Member and other like minded investors in the Club, we bought our first investment property and haven’t looked back. We know that investing in property can require a great deal of skill and time and Support Members can certainly take that burden off you.
We then became Support Members ourselves as we were eager for others to experience what we had done and wanted to show them there was an easier way to accumulate wealth by purchasing property through The Investors Club.
Although we were slowed down for a few years with Greg getting Lymphatic Cancer we did not let this deter us and maintained a positive attitude throughout this horrendous ordeal. We had a lot of assistance from our Branch Managers Richard & Frank and Kevin and Kathy Young who certainly made our struggle easier. We even had a Club member and his wife and children come around and mow our laws and do our garden for us. Greg is now in remission and we are forever looking ahead as we believe nothing in life or business is as ever easy as it seems. All success comes from perseverance. No matter what setbacks you encounter in reaching your goals, you must persist and never be discouraged by failure or setbacks. It is persistence that creates success, rather than talent or special abilities.
Now seven years after we started we are buying our sixth property and have now become Branch Managers. We are in the process of preparing a team of Support Members who will also carry on the good news and support others to follow their dream. We know that most people don’t save enough during their working lives to allow for a comfortable lifestyle and 82% who retire now are living on $15,000 or less a year! One of my dreams is to say goodbye to my boss forever and retire on a more than comfortable income. How about you?
All successful people have dreams and goals, what are yours? Many people have achieved the seemingly impossible by following their dream. Some people have had their dreams shattered because they lacked the strength to follow them through. Through the Investors Club you can certainly achieve this.
By investing through The Investors Club it has enabled us to use the equity in our properties to fulfil a dream I have had for many years, which is to write a children’s book. I have written and self published a book called “Learn Fire Safety with Jamie” which will give children a clear understanding of the consequences of playing with fire, fire prevention and what to do if caught in an actual fire situation. I am thrilled to say my book has been endorsed by Professor Fiona Wood (burns specialist and Australian of the Year) and the forward written by John McMahon, a retired chief of the WA Fire Brigade. Part proceeds of my book will be going towards burns research. The Education Department has also accepted my book as an early childhood development reference. The book is very unique in its content, a world first from the research we have been able to do. With summer fast approaching I believe my story would be of great interest to parents, grandparents and the community at large. It goes without saying that our children are the most valuable asset to the community and must be protected at all costs. My book will go a long way to achieving this community goal. Having a background in fire safety education it has been a passion of mine for all children to have such a valuable resource in their homes as we know each year many children are needlessly burnt and it is important to raise their awareness of fire safety and prevention, teach them to have responsible attitudes towards fire and to learn fire safety skills.
I have been able to achieve this goal of writing and publishing my book due to Kevin and Kathy Young and their wonderful Club which has given me the means and the inspiration to achieve my dream and at the same time build a property portfolio for financial freedom.
It is only when you set your sights high that you can find out how high you can really reach. Once you start following your dreams, all sorts of assistance, people and coincidences will come forth to help you reach them. All you need is a belief that you can do it and faith in the process of reaching your goals.
