Marilyn & Barry AtkinsWhen Barry and Marilyn Atkins arrived in Perth from South Africa fifteen years ago, they did not believe that today they would own 13 properties valued at more than $4 million with a net value of over $1.5 million, after mortgages are taken into account.  Barry and Marilyn are one of the 116 couples in Western Australia who are members of The Investors Club that, to date, have net equity in residential property worth more than $1 million.  Becoming property millionaires will enable Barry and Marilyn to retire in a couple of year’s time with an annual tax-free income in excess of $100,000.

Barry says that he and Marilyn have always been interested in property investment and had bought properties in England and Spain with varying degrees of success but it was only in 1996, after meeting Kevin Young, Chairman of The Investors Club, that they became interested in property investment in Australia.
